One hour is the sweet spot for most couples, but you can adjust the length if you you would like. You can subtract or add 30 minutes for $100. A 30 minute session is $100 less, and a 90 minute session is $100 more. In my experience, about an hour feels fun and comfortable, while anything much longer can start to feel like photo fatigue for most people.
Of course! If you’d like to include multiple locations, share what you have in mind and I’ll suggest a plan that fits the timeline. I can then provide a custom quote based on the travel and total session time.
To reserve your date and time, all I need is a simple online booking confirmation and payment. For engagement and couples sessions there is no formal contract required, just the paid invoice to hold your spot. For surprise proposal sessions I use a short online contract since there is more planning involved. Everything is handled securely online and only takes a few minutes.
For outdoor sessions I keep a close eye on the forecast. If it looks like rain or truly miserable weather, we reschedule at no extra charge. Soft clouds are usually great for photos, so I only suggest rescheduling when the conditions will actually hurt the experience or the images.
Life happens. If you need to reschedule, just let me know as soon as you can. With at least 48 hours notice I am happy to move your session to another available date at no charge. Same day changes are handled case by case, usually only for illness or unsafe weather.
Most sessions happen in the Richmond area at parks, downtown spots, or locations that are meaningful to you. If you are not sure where to go, I will suggest locations that fit the look you want, like greenery, city streets, rustic, water, or skyline views. Once I know your style, I will recommend a few options and the best time of day for light.
Neutral or softer tones photograph well and let your connection stand out. Avoid large logos or matching outfits, and aim for coordinating colors instead. You are welcome to bring an outfit change if you would like. After you book I can send a few simple guidelines to help you choose.
Yes, absolutely, as long as the location allows it. Pets and kids are part of your story and I am always happy to include them. We will plan the session so they are involved for part of the time and you also get a few photos of just the two of you.
